Survey Says…

In a 2010 survey of more than 1,200 senior cooperative owners from 36 cooperatives, responses were overwhelmingly positive:

  • 92% like their cooperative better than or as much as their previous home
  • 92% would recommend cooperative living to others
  • 90% would make the same choice over again
  • 96% believe communities need a cooperative living option

Owners said, at the rates shown below, that living in their
cooperatives has had a positive effect on various measures

  • 78% – Access to leisure activities and entertainment
  • 76% – Ability to live independently
  • 73% – Life satisfaction
  • 72% – Contact with friends
  • 72% – Happiness

  • Security
